Don’t merely seek common ground; proactively create it

People always talk about “finding” common ground during a disagreement. We, uh, disagree. At Moral Courage, we say: Create common ground – proactively.

 

That way, you’re not wasting time or energy “seeking” something that establishes trust between you and the other party. Instead, you’re building trust right away.
